To help launch the latest line of Galaxy Mobile devices, Samsung turned to Moonrock to create a custom activation at San Diego Comic-Con. Knowing the challenges of securing show floor space which is sold out years in advance, Moonrock thought outside the box and built a bespoke outdoor event at the convention center adjacent Interactive Zone at Petco Park, an official SDCC extension.

Understanding the audience psychographics, Moonrock brought on Zynga's Game of Thrones Legends mobile IP to anchor the activation. As the exclusive IP partner at Samsung's experience, Moonrock created a heavily themed buildout tying into the fantasy IP's source material. With Game of Thrones Legends launching on the first day of SDCC, the timely tie-in made the activation the most visited space in the Interactive Zone across the entirety of the show.

Moonrock designed and manned the space, serving as a marketing extension for Samsung's on the ground efforts. Through giveaways and hands on activities, Moonrock was able to evangelize the new line of mobile devices and perform valuable data collection for brand sentiment and intent to buy.
